Mixed Strategies in Baseball, Dating and Paying Your Taxes By Benjamin Polak - Yale Lecture number 10 of 24 from Game Theory I watched this video 3 times and read the transcripts. The concept of ideas and theory had me questioning and bringing forth different variations on the theme. The three (3) tier relationship analogy was what challenged me to grasp the concept. I guess the third is the charm, meaning my perception of understanding has me considering my approach to life. I could relate this class to basketball yet I would rather communicate my actions in regards to investments. Each time I watched the video it prompted me to act in some way positive. Stock Dividend Income Growth Strategy - Purpose: Show the value of investing in companies that pay dividends. Starting on 3/1/11 I took over management of a fund. First transaction was CEL an Israel wireless company. Great stock and company. Bought asset share at transaction cost of $14.00. Yes I was fortunate on this transaction I was paid $46.91 to own this Asset earning current income of $0.86 a quarter, $3.44 a year. Last year end quarter they were paying $1.12 a quarter. This trade has created a lofty seed of a goal. To buy shares of companies with no risk based on the of ownership for a brief time. I invested $1266 earned $1313 for a profit of $46.91 and one CEL share which I purchased for $33.86 and $3.44 potential income per year based on $0.86 current quarter dividends. Trade Strategy 1 - Invest money and from profit buy shares to own the company's stock with moderate income stream. The risk is buying a stock not geared to rise and or fluctuate to add to position.
