Mixed Strategies in Theory and Tennis By Benjamin Polak - Yale

Mixed Strategies in Theory and Tennis By Benjamin Polak - Yale: Course Lecture number 9 of 24 from Game Theory

The idea of a mixed strategy in theory was elusive at first. As the idea of playing to your strengths is a pure idea. Yet do you consider one's opinion of your strengths and play opposite. Force a person left or to the right if you know anticipation, play them straight up and play to your instincts until decided. Both strategies are pure and best case until a weakness is discovered. Granted at all times its your perspective. Meaning if you discover an opportunity, who's opinion is more important. Your opponent is playing to their strengths - interpreting one's strength is a talent -- adopt and adapt -- its yours.

Visualization is also a talent. Being able to create a picture is strategy. Visualizing yourself driving to the basket against any opponent is strategic.
Visualizing no opponent means you create your opponents.

Who competes against you really. Sure there are others that play a game, never the same game unless you know there game and they know yours. That's more ingrained.
