Breath of Being
In breath, out breath, the action mine,
A rhythm of life, a star light sign.
In Heaven, out Heaven, the motion turns,
Perspective literal, as the essence returns.
To the Willamette River, I make my way,
Carried by streams where thoughts bold sway.
A wonderful idea, you’ve brought to light,
A stream of watering, flowing right.
Bought by brooks where thinking pays,
Turning to sea where the black seed plays.
The soil in me, thy fertile ground,
Coloring life in mind cycling abound.
Breath is to heart, the act, the spark,
A seed of creation, igniting the dark.
In breath, out breath, the sing be living,
In each exchange, my art being giving.
