I Journeyed Across

I have come a long way since these days,
Going back and forth, earning my pay.
What a city, so busy and full,
Had me swimming in the deep end of the pool.

I believe it sharpened my experience a bit,
Knowing what I don't like creates a better fit.
Yet for my age and part of life, it was right,
Brought so much joy and turned on so many lights.

For being across at the other side on the Pacific Ocean,
Means I traveled from A to B for all to see.

Each journey made, a lesson learned,
With every twist and turn, my spirit yearned.
The city's pulse, its vibrant beat,
Left imprints on my wandering feet.

From bustling streets to tranquil shores,
I embraced the world, seeking more.
In every corner, in every face,
I found a story, a sacred space.

Reflecting now, on paths I've crossed,
The wins, the losses, the moments lost.
They all converge in memories sweet,
Making my life's journey complete.

For each voyage, a piece of me,
Left behind for the world to see.
In every step, a story spun,
Of growth, of change, of battles won.

As I stand now, looking back,
Grateful for the winding track.
For it led me here, to this serene view,
A testament to the journey I pursued.
